This is Scott (I hope I spell his name right). Scott is a homeless artist. I met him in Old Town, San Diego accidentally when I had to kill an hour before my train back home and was wandering around with no intention to find something interesting. Scott lives nearby the Catholic Church and sells his surrealistic illustrations of modern society evils.

Scott is somehow very keen on illustrating society since and deformations. He draws on a piece of cardboard with his pens and sharpies and then reprints the posters from the original art.

He sells posters $8 a piece or 3 for $20 and in a good week he makes about $160. But this summer was slow and he hasn't got much success.

He draws for about a year now, although he never learned how to do that. He illustrates the way he sees, and this poster is one of his favorites.

I couldn't pass by and gave him a buck. But after talking to him for few minutes I bought this poster...

He's got a good number of samples and keep working on new arts. He says he wants to improve his skills as much as he can and stat selling his posters online. But as he knows, the competition is very high, so he needs to do something unique to stand out.

I wish I had more time to learn more about his story and his inspiration. If you're in San Diego, CA and planning to visit Old Town, please, take time to walk all the way through the park to the Catholic Church and meet Scott!
