I've been in a relationship for five years, and because of that, there are things I've learned to just accept about my partner and who he is. We've always been good about communication and channeling our frustration into other outlets rather than taking it out on each other.
But if we do have to talk about our feelings, why not communicate creatively with our partners? You might not have to go as far as I did, but as an actress and writer, this is the best way I communicate.
I wrote my frustrations down on paper, polished the script, and shot the web series. My boyfriend, also being a creative, even shot it. It was fun, therapeutic, and we can watch it together and laugh. He understands better why I get upset sometimes, and I'm starting to understand why he loves gaming so intensely.
You can watch episodes 1 -3 on Youtube now, and we will be releasing the rest of the episodes weekly, every Friday. Subscribe, laugh, and then maybe make something of your own. It's way more fun than having the "we need to talk" conversation.
