A veterinarian suspects that people threw things at me when I lived on the streets of Texas and with the painful deformed leg it was really hard. But, a “hero” group saved my from that life and flew me to New York where a team of volunteers from Transporters Without Borders took me under their wing. They found me a foster home and took me to Tufts Teaching Hospital in MA for a consultation on the bad leg.
The ortho vets at Tufts said they could fix me so I wouldn't have to have the leg cut off or live my life on pain meds. I'm only 18 months old, so that'll be along time, I hope.
Because my surgery was more complicated that they originally thought, the bill at the hospital is higher than TWB has collected on my fundraiser, I'm short $800 on my surgical bill. Plus I have to have a bandage change twice a week for 4-6 weeks and they sedate me to do it... It costs $300 a time! Last week they found I had an infection and so needed even more meds. Please can anyone spare a few dollars to help me? You can send it to: https://www.gofundme.com/4f-megans-medical-fund
