The Willow project is a $8 billion plan to extract 600 million barrels of oil from federal land in Alaska. It would occur in the National Petroleum Reserve-Alaska, about 200 miles north of the Arctic Circle. The Biden administration acknowledges that Willow if completed, would release an additional 9.2 million metric tons of carbon pollution into the atmosphere each year—roughly equivalent to the pollution generated by two million gas-powered cars. it'll industrialize thousands of acres of habitat for animals like threatened polar bears and caribou into a polluted and noisy oil field.

All for it. I work in the oilfield, you’d be amazed at the lengths companies go to in Alaska to avoid pollution.
