I have autism, adhd & dyslexia, as soon as I went to nursery school when i was 4 the teachers treated me extremely differently 😭 I actually could talk and read though i was just shy, i first realised i was different when i wanted a book from the book fair and the teacher refused and told my dad it was far too advanced for someone like me. School was absolute hell for me, other children were actually really nice to me but teachers constantly yelled at me and told me I was stupid, weird and to stop acting like that, i was really anxios and would have meltdowns and hide under chairs. Im 20 now and i really, really hope autistic kids now get the help they need at school and dont get treated like sh!t by teachers ☹️ Ive also felt and dressed inbetween a boy and a girl since i was tiny, kids never really minded but again teachers told me i was stupid and weird

I’m neurodivergent, and I didn’t know the word for it until I was 12. I only realized I was different when I was 8. I had just moved to a public school from a Montessori school with lots of people who had ADHD, Autism, Asperger’s, etc. So basically everyone there was similar to me. I would make random noises, sit in odd positions, and walk extremely fast.
On my first day of 3rd grade, I walked into school and a teacher scolded me for running. I was walking at my normal pace. But 1 month later, I got comfortable with my friends and would make random noises like I would with my old friends. They just said “why’re you so weird.”
In 4th grade, I would often look spaced out. One day my teacher hit my desk and said “stop spacing out in my class, I’ve had enough.” It took me 2 more years to figure out my condition, and I lived with social anxiety and a fear I’d be ostracized because of my neurodivergency. (if that’s even a word)
