When did you get back at a bully and felt bad?

A kid in my neighborhood was a absolute jerk. I made a 2x4 with nails in it so when he rode his bike over it he had flat tires and a crash. Later I learned his dad had cancer and his mom ran off. I wish I could’ve helped and been a better KID. I was 12. Hope he’s doing OK
