My cat Bozo was beaten up by a grasshopper. She grew up where there weren't many bugs, so was leery of them when we moved. She was toying with a live grasshopper when it jumped ON HER. While she was flopping around like a hairy fish out of water, the grasshopper headed for home.

One time my cat got so spooked by a vacuum she ran/clawed her way up onto the drapes and hung there four feet off the ground for about three minutes.
