Ship Breaker by Paolo Bacigalupi. You can tell just be reading page 9, where it compares the characters skin tones. There's also a character named Pearly. He's Indian. Oh and, there's a character about to get killed, and the author describes a person dragging a knife in between her breasts. Also, the main character is carrying a half-dead girl, and he's distracted by the curves in her body. Just, why?

Unglued and tattooed
It basically tells why and how to not accept your kids for who they are. I'm not sure how or why I wound up reading this book but every page just got me more angry
