Last year I went as a human version of Russell from “Happy Tree Friends”, complete with double peg legs and blue hair. Oddly enough, no one insulted it.

I'm not much into costumes but 1 year I went as Louise from Bob's Burgers dressed up as a biblical wise man. "wise man Louise"

I made an attempt to make a homemade version of a bed bug. It was a horrible costume and nobody understood it. From that point forward, I never wore a Halloween costume (homemade or bought).

My birthday is Halloween. One year, I dressed up as a nun and went bar hopping. It was great! A couple who parked next to me in the parking lot gave me a rosary to use with my costume. I had so much fun that night!

I dressed up as the opening credits for the Rocky Horror Picture Show. There was a special midnight showing for it that Halloween, which did not fall on a Friday or Saturday. I spent most of the day dressed all in black, with a black cap over my hair, black makeup on my face, and obnoxiously bright red lipstick. I won second place in the costume contest, because while there were lots of the characters of the movie in the contest, I was the only one dressed up as the big red lips singing the opening song. I had even lip synched the opening song, Science Fiction Double Feature.
