I'd save my dogs before anyone/anything else.

I'd grab the next laundry basket and "throw" all guinea pigs into it - even though we have two separate groups and it wouldn't be a good idea to "mix" them. However, I wouldn't forgive myself for letting any of them behind.
If I have time left, I'd also grab my laptop and save all my (self-written) stories and novels. (Of course they're also saved in a cloud but still.)

My pets of course. I love them all too much to leave behind and my family agrees with me so we have all agreed to SAVE THE DOGS AND PIGGIES FIRST

I'd save my bulldog, Egypt.
Even though I named her Egypt bc she used to leave pyramids all over the house. No more though!

After all family and dog is out, I would get my teddy bear that I have been sleeping with for 36 years. If I'm not sleeping with it, my daughter does. It's family. Also the quilt made from my dad's tshirts. I will wrap myself in it to get out to safety with my family.

Honestly. My Kid (21) and our 2 cats (5yo).
I know you said one...However, these guys are my number one...everything else can be replaced. I have all copies of pictures in my emails, I have a safe box (fire proof) with all important papers in it.

Assuming my husband, son, and pets were safe, I'd try to save family photos. Actually, I got to put this into practice when we had a house fire. My husband had just left for work, made sure my son and dogs were out, and thought I heard our cat inside a closed bedroom. Ran back into the burning house to save him, but he was safely outside, thank god.

My husband—because I would need his help carrying the dogs and cats! (Also, I’m a little bit fond of him.) If I had time after the 8 of us were out, I’d grab the abstract that describes the history of our property as far back as records exist.
