I'd have to say Glam Rock (in the UK, 1970s). T-Rex, Bowie, Roxy Music, Slade, Mud... the list goes on. Happy days. Yeah, some of it was cheesy, but mostly it's stood the test of time and figures large in the Classic Rock genre today. Oh, and it also gave rise to the Rocky Horror Show, so there's that too.

sanity in our politics.

Oh, the subcultures, totally.... becoming a punk in 82, and rejecting the whole normaloid society thing totally.... just the community of freaks and weirdos that accepted me was the best... to spend the day, drinking and smoking döpe with 50 year old bikers, then hitting a punk gig, chilling in a dark corner of a goth club then hitting the dance floor of the local gay bar at 5 am, flirting with gay guys despite being straight AF.... yeah, kids, booze and d***s are bad but I wouldn't exchange those days for anything.... and I'm glad, at 57, I'm still the same punk freak as I was then....

Summer vacations off

Hanging out at the mall. I was teen in the 80s, large indoor malls were a great place to get together with friends. Our parents could drop us off in the morning and we'd hang all day, eat at the food court, and go to a movie or two. Nobody worried about getting shot or kidnapped.

Discos.......those were the days.

Music. Specifically, variety in mainstream music. When I was a teenager, you'd see Tool, Rob Zombie, and Marilyn Manson right up in the top of the charts with Britney Spears, the Backstreet Boys, and Puff Daddy. Now mainstream rock and metal aren't even a thing, you have to know how to look for new music.

Low rise jeans. They were more comfortable to me.

Affordable gas.

Fully funded public schools. Teachers could make a living teaching, and didn't have to buy supplies out of pocket.

2000s, cargo pants, large hoop earrings and big sunglasses

Real menus!! I'm from a generation that didn't have cell phones. I don't like being on my phone during dinner because I enjoy time with my husband and daughter. Having to QR a code and spend 15 minutes looking at it, at my phone, I'm too annoyed to want to stay there.

I miss the more expressive, colourful and courageous fashion trends from the 70s. These days people's clothes seem way too similar and conformist.

Going to the neighborhood pool with my friends and playing the Jukebox with top 40 AM radio songs. FM radio was still called "underground radio".

Girlfriend sleepovers & slumber parties.

I want my MTV back !!

Meeting friends at a diner and drinking coffee and just talking. The wait staff only allowed it when it wasn't too busy and we weren't costing them tips. However, after school until dinner rush was great for just hanging out. I really felt connected with my friends.
