Making compliments to strangers.
When I really like something about someone, I tell them. At the shop, in the subway, at the theater, at the gym.
"Your perfume smells amazing!" "What a great hair color!" "You are so fit, congratulations!"
The way their face lights up in a surprised, genuine smile is priceless. Almost addictive. 😊

When I make a cup of tea, I pause for a moment to open the jar of teabags and just sniff. I live alone so I can do that, and it's just a moment of pure joy.

Saying "I love you" as a person I love leaves the room. - - - This is a very new habit for me. It was mentioned on a list of 'Weird stuff only my family does, but I thought everyone did". I liked the idea and decided to give it a try. The family are loving it.

Daily Walks.
I follow the same route every day, and the fresh air is always great. (Also, I come across, like, 20 cats every time, so that's a plus.)

When cleaning the garden up in the fall I like to say thanks to the plants and tell them they did a good job.

Scheduling “me time” during busy weeks.
Every Saturday or Sunday, I mute all my school group chats, turn off my computer, and take a break for a few hours. During that time, i bake, read, learn dances, or even just doomscroll. Doing this makes me feel so much better when i go back to studying.

Fancy coffee on my morning walks and a podcast or music on the ears. I walk 6.15-7.00 when most people are at home or in their cars/public transport stressing about and the park is all ours.

When we work together, one of us will make a wolf howl type noise and the rest will follow suit. It gets the energy flowing better and makes us feel more united to face the day.

Getting all my laundry from the week done and put away by Friday evening so I don't have to think about it over the weekend.

Texting the most stupid internet finds or memes to my grown kids. I know I'm doing it right when one of them comes back with "stop...mom, just stop".

Okay, this will sound gross. I fly a lot for work. But after a long flight, all this gas builds up in my gut from the change of air pressure and the in-flight meal. The second I get to my hotel/home I like to pass wind. I go into the bathroom, or lay on my bed, and toot away. It's not like a little poof either. It's like a great rumbling of the Earth. Two continental plates meeting at a point of intense stress, having built up over decades, and then a great tsunami inducing releasing. Natural gas company executives send forth their legions to collect the vile emanations being cast upon the world. The angels hear, and tremble at the great thunderous roar that cleaves the heavens asunder. And thus they weep for their fallen brethren, forever lost into the ashes of cosmic history.
TL;DR: I make big farts after long flights

I have a little stuffed donkey that is so cute. I take it with me when I leave the house because I have social anxiety. It comforts me and makes me happy.

After reading some of these mine seems a bit odd but here goes: I make mental maps of every object and its orientation to other objects that I regularly interact with (like in my home). It makes be happy when I come back after being gone and everything is still orientated and located in the same place. It disturbs me when something has changed. It drives my children nuts sometimes because I can tell when they've been messing around with something. A few examples are the angle of a clock sitting on a shelf, the way a charging cable is coiled, or a spoon in the kitchen that's turned around a different way in a organizer tray...ok this maybe ASD behavior, don't judge! 🤣

My 1st cup of coffee in the morning. I make just the way I want it. I look forward to it the night before when going to sleep and its the number one thing I miss when I'm away from home.
