Love is a unique thing. It’s different for everybody. For some people, to love someone means you would cross worlds just to give them a better chance at life. For others, it’s just giving them things. What was your first experience of love?

It would be when I met my family but I would say when I truly found love was when I first met Loki, my dog. He means the world to me.

With books. I LOVE to read. I've been reading ever since
I was a toddler and I won't stop. But I have a problem. I don't have any new books! Any recommendations? I'm fine with any genre but dystopia is my favorite.

So I'm just a teenager, so I haven't really experienced much love. I mean I love my parents, but it doesn't feel super deep or anything. I am in love with one of my best friends, though, and I have been for a really long time. Our parents were friends before we were born, so we've known each other for our whole lives. We've had a few 'moments,' I guess, but nothing like kissing or anything. Other then this, I love books and I always will.

Well... I first experienced love when...well...it was a...really...boring...love? Idk. How do you really tell when you fall in love? Most ppl...kids...like my age 12, would have a crush then not like them anymore. So if that wasn’t love...then what is?

This didn't happen to me, but it happen to my bro. In kindergarten he had... HIS FIRST KISS. He was only 6 and he had his first kiss. I know it shocked me to!

Love knows many forms but I didn’t know the love of a real partner until my husband. I’d had other romantic relationships and had even been married before but in almost all of those circumstances I was more of a convenience to the other person than an equal. That’s a consequence of a very messed up background (I was not unloved as a child but there were some serious and untreated mental health issues in my family that left me with codependent behavior). The man I am married to today has never made me feel as though I am less than him. He also loves me enough to call me out when I’m being stubborn or reckless. I don’t feel as though I’m being taken for granted, and I’m free to explore my own interests. After over twenty years in and out of controlling, manipulative, and outright abusive relationships, it is liberating to learn that love can be as simple as someone just letting me be me.
