For me it was when I was having a panic attack from a friend of ours getting mad at me. She talked me down and was super helpful, asking me what I needed and double checking that I was okay. Afterwards I thanked her for helping me and she was like, "...but I did the bare minimum?"
My ex was super distant and (now that I look back) a self-centered narcissist who only cared about himself. Once I cried on stage, and he went to go play volleyball. He was pretty abusive and I still regularly get panic attacks from flashbacks of him. So glad I'm out of that toxic relationship.
