Let me explain. Nelson Mandela died in 2013 but lots of people were convinced he had died many years before this. Hence the Mandela effect.
So what is something that you were convinced was a certain way but you found out actually wasn't that way and never had been. Maybe it was the name of a product a quote from a film or something on a logo. It could be anything.

In the UK we have crisps or as the Americans call them chips made by a company called Walkers. Their Salt and vinegar flavour crisps are in a green bag and the cheese and onion flavour are in a blue bag. But many people are convinced they used to be the other way round with cheese and onion in a green bag and salt and vinegar in blue, they are also convinced they remember them changing. But Walkers say they have never ever changed the colours of the packets.
