I really enjoy listening to “One More Light” by Linkin Park, sung by One Voice Children’s Choir. It helped my through a hard time and still helps me stay and not give up on life.

My favorite song is If We Have Each Other by Alec Benjamin. It reminds me of my mom. When she was 19 she got pregnant with my brother and had to work multiple jobs. Her then husband had passed because he had cancer. It reminds me of what she had to go through to get where she is now. She has done so much for me and my siblings.

Grad by Baroness (Live at Roadburn).
The studio version is great, but the live version is AMAZING. It's an instrumental song by a great band, Baroness, who are a droney/metal/hard-gaze type band. It's beautiful. Hopeful. Hesitant, and then confident.
Close second, Alcest - Elevation. French post-black metal band and it is the most uplifting song I think I have ever heard in my entire life.
I can do this all day.

Undefeated by Skillet. I've had a very tough and difficult life, faced with pretty much impossible odds for someone with my childhood, and I've been suicidal. But I've always found a way to keep going and achieving more than my 3 year old self would think.

I have a few:
A Whiter Shade Of Pale by Procol Harum (because it's so soulful and raw)
Beeswing (cover) by Christy Moore (it reminds me of freedom and love)
Nuvole Bianche (it's just so sad)
Foggy Dew by Sinead O'Connor and the Chieftans (because it's raw and emotional and it holds a powerful history)
Grace sung by the Wolftones (it's such sweet sorrow)
Never Let Me Go by Florence + the Machine (it's epic)
and finally,
Let The Sunshine In from Hair (because it's seminal and important and real)

I have a ton of favorite songs.
Fix My Eyes and Proof Of Your Love by For King and Country.
I Lived by OneRepublic
Birds by ImagineDragons
Pompeii by Bastille
Wherever You Are by Kodaline
Way Back When by Grizfolk
Never Forget You by Zara Larsson and MNEK
Something Just Like This by The Chainsmokers and Coldplay
I like these for a lot of different reasons. A lot of them are a little regretful but hopeful and I guess I like that.
