Once at a store a young guy I made small talk with as we were both checking out items in the same aisle asked me if he could see my shoe. He had complimented me on them so I told him they were very lightweight since they were made of mesh fabric. He asked to see one, which I though was weird because he could obviously see it just fine from where he was, but I thought maybe he wants to check out the fabric? So I take it off and he promptly takes it, and this dude proceeds to BURY his nose in it. Weirdest encounter I ever had! I asked for it back and he then asks if he can see the other one. No, I said, you may not. And walked away. Whaaaaaaaaat?!?
