What is the scariest thing that happened in your childhood?

I have PTSD because of my entire childhood; because of it as a grown adult I get panic attacks if I have to go into a basement and I live in Tornado Alley.

When I was in kindergarten we still took naps. I woke up from mine and everyone was gone. Went to the office. Nobody. My kid brain thought everyone was on the playground. Nobody. I tried to get back in the school and the doors were locked. Sat I front of the school until my mom came running up with cops.

Just the typical. Monsters under my bed, nightmares, that sort of thing.
