Friends and family have asked me what I want so many times over the years and I would always tell them a sword. I’d play it off as a joke but always knew I’d be ecstatic to get one. On my first birthday after marrying my wife, she took me to the Scottish games/fair (excellent present on its own), but totally blew me away when we got to the handmade sword booth and she told me to pick one. I knew I married a good one!

Honestly just some kind words that they actually mean would be a great gift. I haven't heard anyone tell me something nice and mean it in a long time. My parents try sometimes, but I feel like they're obligated to say it. Also my own space to build Legos where I won't be in the way of other people.
