what are some things that would be ideal to have around but no-one has thought of it to be a real thing.

Automatic doors in bathrooms because there are automatic soap dispensers, automatic hand dryers, automatic toilets so why not automatic bathroom doors i mean who would want to touch the bathroom doors that other people have with their germ infested hands?! And no i do not mean automatic Cubicle doors because thats just gross.
