People are always scared of my Mastiff because he is HUGE and very strong. But, once you meet him you will see where the term “gentle giant” comes from.

We're shielded from the deadly radiation by just a magnetic field, which can get wiped away by a solar flare. However, this mechanism is working reliably for billions of years (with a few exceptions), so there's no need to fear this.
