Last year I started trying to give cake decorating a go and asked my mum if she would like me to make her cake. Since I am only a beginner I decided to do a practice cake, and I am so glad I did coz this is the end result. The cake was uneven, the fondant was wonky and cracking and the royal icing I was using for the drip effect was way too runny. On a good note I took it to a friends and it tasted delicious. It was vanilla sponge with lemon curd filling.
