Hey Pandas, If Someone Hits Someone Once And They Hit Back Twice, Is That Fair?

So this guy that I was mad at was bothering me and calling me a b*, so I gently slapped him to let him know to leave me alone. Of course, I had told him before but he didn't listen. He hit me back, and I thought that was fair. Then after a pause, he hit me again, harder. He smacked the glasses off of my face. Was that okay?
