I'm going to assume you aren't kidding, because I struggled with this idea for a while. Imagine putting on socks, and walking on carpet. You arent going to slide. On grass, it'll be a little slippery, on hardwood, slipperier, and on ice, extra slippy. So clearly different materials have different grippyness, and since you weigh the same, that grippyness is from friction. If friction didn't exist everything you touched would be like walking on uber-slippy ice. But friction is also a force, and force is dependent on mass*acceleration. Acceleration*mass = weight. So yes, friction does depend on weight, too. Friction measures how hard it is to move something. Which depends on both weight and grippiness. A chair is harder to slide on carpet than ice, but its easier to slide a penny than a chair.
