Insensitive to be sure. Possibly they purchased a while ago and didn’t realize think it through. Some folks just don’t get it. I’m still grieving the loss of my 13 yo pup several months ago. Send the book back to them explaining how you felt hurt by the gift but hope the intentions were not to wound. If your sibling is generally a good guy… forgive but remember the lack of taste. My sympathies on the loss of your fluffy bun buns!
