Imagine an exquisite but slightly drunk Victorian eagle-owl, an Edwardian gentleman jackalope and a giant three-eyed chicken on a crutch would serve you a drink. This is exactly what we came up with when Hendrick’s Gin Amsterdam asked us to create three stuffed animals showcasing its rather unusual gin.
Together with taxidermist Viktor Leestmans we gave birth to three luxurious characters, each of them embracing a bottle of Hendrick’s Gin. No cucumber or citrus styling. But a steampunk black neck corset, a Victorian ruffled collar, a mid-nineteenth century old bowtie, antique spectacles and even a World War II agricultural service medal. The strangely refined and peculiarly pleasant commissioned work will be showcased in cocktail bars in Holland.
