On this episode, we dive into the Early Permian Period (295-272 million years ago) to hang out with one of my favorite sailed beasts, Dimetrodon. I’ve been obsessed with this “dinosaur” since 1993 when I got a Jurassic Park toy of one (swipe to see). Some of you may not know that Dimetrodon actually isn’t a dinosaur at all due to the positioning of it’s legs. Dinosaurs have a hole in their hip socket allowing their legs to be positioned directly under their bodies. As you can see, Dimetrodon’s legs are sprawled out just like a.. REPTILE! Facts are fun.
