At the earth of arctic, populations and their traditions are threatened by changes induced by the frenetic walk of the world. Inuit, including those of Greenland, go through major change of their lifestyle still made of traditions and survival in extreme environments.
Observing this great city, it seems to me that technology has already erased the tradition. Some Inuit still maintain the habits and custom, but for how long? Increasing number of tourists will it lead to a transmission effort to save the local traditions and customs or at the opposite lead to an economy that will erase the Inuit culture? Changes taking place are not only climatic and we must follow the development of these peoples to a better understanding of human and environmental challenges of tomorrow's world.

At the dock of Tasiilaq city, the container carriers piles their loads, mainly transported by Royal Arctic Line

Greenland's east coast is isolated from the rest of the world due to the ice of Arctic sea over nine months a year.

In this shop there is post office, an airline ticket, food, clothing, craft materials and also TV, phone, computer ... Despite the choice is very limited.

Faced with this very boorish and traditional lifestyle, recently came to oppose a lifestyle quite different that appeals to many Inuit

Coca Cola and consumer products are well established there, even at the end of the world in this land of ice.

It reflects a real waste treatment problem. The wastes left to wind and the gulls are found everywhere in the streets of the city.
