Jeff Evans is a graffiti artist from Devon, UK, who paints portraits of dogs and other animals using only spray paint. He has been working in this way for over 15 years and like most graffiti artists started by painting letters on walls. Over the years he grew tired of seeing his work painted over and wanted to produce something that people could keep, something that would last longer and be more meaningful. Evans began by painting human portraits on canvas then one day a friend asked if he would paint their two dogs. Pet Portraits by Jeff Evans was born and the rest is history. The majority of his work is intimate in scale usually on a 50 x 60 cm canvas although he has extensive experience painting large scale murals on boards, bridges and even a ship! He uses the same technique whether he's painting large or small, all done with spray paint, no stencils, just freehand, and they are remarkable!
