Ansel Adams is one of the best photographers of the 20th century, and now we might know why. Photographer Elliot McGucket has discovered that a lot of Adams' iconic images were composed using the golden ratio, which is believed to be hardwired into the human brain as inherently beautiful.
"Great artists such as Ansel Adams exalted their art with the golden ratio—the very same ratio present in the bones of our fingers and facial features," McGucken told PetaPixel.
