Just like last time, Bored Panda took a chance and reached out to a cat behaviorist Kasia with some more questions regarding our furry friends! Kasia, an expert in feline behavior, shared some valuable insights and advice on a range of topics, from common misconceptions to tips on introducing new cats to a household.
When asked about common misconceptions about cat behavior, Kasia explained, "It's funny how many people think cats are aloof and don't need much attention. In reality, our feline friends crave social interaction and mental stimulation just like any other pet." She also mentioned that, contrary to popular belief, "cats can be trained with a bit of patience and positive reinforcement."

In response to a question about introducing a new cat to a home with existing cats, the cat behaviorist emphasized the importance of taking it slow. "Start by letting them sniff each other's scent under a door, and then gradually let them see each other from a safe distance," she said. "When they finally meet face-to-face, make sure to give them lots of praise and treats for good behavior."

Finally, Kasia spoke about the importance of providing enrichment activities for indoor cats. "Try using puzzle feeders to make mealtime more interesting, or offer a variety of toys for them to play with," she suggested. She also mentioned the value of providing vertical spaces like cat trees or window perches and engaging in interactive play, as it's "not only fun for your cat but helps strengthen your bond, too."
