Democratic hopeful Joe Biden commented about the fly as well, jokingly asking people to support the insect’s campaign. While some saw the humor in Biden’s tweet, others criticized the politician for striking a low blow. Meanwhile, President Donald Trump has not commented about the fly as of yet.
The fly wasn’t the only thing to get into the ointment on October 7. People also commented about Pence’s left eye which looked pinky-red and caused gossiping about the Vice-President’s health.
Other than that, the debate was far calmer and smoother than the previous Trump Vs. Biden debacle that left a lot of Americans feeling annoyed.
Meanwhile, CNN reports that President Trump (who was diagnosed with Covid-19 last week) has announced he will not “waste his time” with the second presidential debate which the Commission on Presidential Debates has announced will be held virtually. The town meeting-style debate was scheduled for October 16 and we’ll see how things progress until then.
