Bored Panda reached out to Kiko, who told us more about her caricature career.
“I have been drawing caricatures full-time for 14 years. I have drawn in over 20 states and 3 countries! I have 14 caricature awards, including being voted the second-best caricature artist in the world in 2022 by the International Caricature Artist Society. The International Caricature Artist Society aka ISCA is an annual convention where over 300 caricature artists from all over the world come together for a week, and we all draw each other and vote for who is the best.
My inspirations for my caricatures are Ren and Stimpy and Sponge Bob Square Pants. I love to turn people into funny cartoon versions of themselves,” shared Kiko.
We were wondering what are some notable places that Kiko worked at. She wrote: “My first caricature job was at Universal Studios 14 years ago. Since then, I have been drawing caricatures full-time. I have drawn in 20 states and 3 countries. I was sponsored by the computer company Dell to draw at the red carpet premiere of both Spider-Man: Homecoming and Ant-Man at the Chinese Theater in Hollywood. I have also been flown to Japan and Vienna to be a guest speaker.”
Besides caricatures, Kiko delves into other art forms.
“I live in Maui, and I also make Hawaii Souvenirs with my art on it, such as stickers, magnets, keychains, and much more,” wrote Kiko.
