#3 An Absolute Unit Of A Gray Percheron. This Is The Same Horse 5 Years Apart. They Transition From A Black Coat To A Gray Coat As They Grow Older

The first “absolute unit” meme was born on December 13, 2017, when a Twitter user named @mrreptoid wrote, “In awe at the size of this lad. Absolute unit,” with regards to a photo of British hotelier David Morgan-Hewitt standing next to the Queen of England. Mr. Morgan-Hewitt is a very large lad, indeed.
But it really took off in 2018, with the Museum of English Rural Life tweeting a photograph of ram with a caption “Look at this absolute unit.” Adam Koszary, the museum’s manager who wrote the tweet, amassed 98k likes and more than 27k retweets in the next couple of days.
An “absolute unit'' is a term that implies a general idea that something or someone is comically oversize. And it can be applied to virtually anything, from objects to animals, to even humans and fashion. Speaking of fashion, much of the oversized trend of the past five years has to do with the image that can be called “absolute unit.” From dad’s sneakers to gigantic jackets, they look both funny, out of proportion, yet somewhat progressive and unmistakably fashionable.
