From 9-5 To Around The World For A Living!

Hello, my name is Rav and I go around the world for a living. Now before I proceed, know that I decided to write this blog not impress anybody, but to inspire, let it be one or two people! Before I went around the globe making awesome (I’m told!) videos on Instagram, I worked a typical North American job in your “cliché” call center. And now that I look back it, my job title was pretty ironic. It was as if God just wanted to screw around with me before blessing me with a dream of a life! You know what my job title was? ---Travel freakin’ Consultant! Yes, I was the guy who you called when you had enough points on your credit card to get the hell away! 8 hours a day, 5 days a week, I sent people on a vacation while sitting in front of a computer screen, occasionally getting away via my desktop’s wallpaper!

Now the job came with a decent salary and great benefits, hence I did it for more than a year before I threw in the towel. How I came to the decision? Well, I read this self-improvement book and the whole point of the book was to tell you that, if you think about something that matters, you most likely will tend to keep on thinking about it and waste a shit ton of time pretty much! So one day, I just woke up and wrote up a resignation letter instead of going to work. It was a spontaneous decision, but probably one of my best ones in life. I had no plan whatsoever, just knew that I did not want to waste another day doing something that made me miserable. So I finally let go..

Fast-forward six months, and now you get the unemployed, broken, and desperate version of Rav. Until this point, I did not know how low one’s esteem can go. I was almost ready to go back to my first job ever, McDonalds! Now don’t get me wrong, my people skills were developed at McDonalds, but psychologically, it would have been a step backwards for me. My grandpa used to say, “The heavier your chains, the higher you want to fly!”..and boy did I want to fly high as my chains had never been more heavier! All I dreamed about was flying, above the clouds and into the space high! Now I shit you not, call it law of attraction or whatever you may please, the next job posting that I seen was titled “Come fly with us!”. And that was it folks, that’s how I became a Flight Attendant for one of Canada’s reputable airlines. Now instead of living through desktop wallpapers, I am literally in them, partying it up most of the time!

If your life sucks right now, don’t sweat it! I was a shitty dog, but my day came, so will yours my friend!
