During a recent conversation with a friend and discussing the breakneck speed at which technology advances, we wondered what it would be like to travel back to simpler times. Being a filmmaker myself I thought of how hard using older tech would be but I also longed to remember the past and where modern day filmmaking came from. As I pulled out my SD card case to load in some fresh memory for the next interview I was filming, the lightbulb went on as I remembered my grandparents old 8mm films and how they were housed in these cool metal canisters.
8 months of prototyping and I finally have a cool vintage way to carry my SD memory cards around. Now I can instantly connect to the history of film production each time I reach for my memory cards.
