A father of two, Kenny Deuss told Bored Panda that he considers the cliché of dads being the most difficult to shop for to be mostly true. “When a dad needs something, it has to be something useful and chances are he already bought it for himself, which makes it hard to shop for something,” he said. “But most dads are aware of this, which is why they can appreciate everything, because a dad doesn't need much to be happy. It can be the simplest things that work best, like food, drinks or clothing.”

The mastermind behind the ‘On Adventure With Dad’ Instagram account, Kenny is the dad of two beautiful girls, Aster and Alix, who are the main characters in his pictures. But the pictures are far from regular, though. The father photoshops the girls in seemingly dangerous situations and sends the images to their mom when she asks if the kids are doing okay.

Kenny’s collection boasts pictures of one of the girls being carried away by a seagull, balancing on a chair put on top of a lawnmower, or dropping in on a skateboard, among many others. Nowadays, Kenny shares them not only with the girls’ mom, but with a fan base of over 500k followers as well.

Kenny opened up to Bored Panda about what he loves most about being a father: “I love the fact that my kids are looking up to me, no matter what I do. That is why it's very important to stay true to yourself and your interests. Because your children will be happy to learn from you, in everything you do. And it's the best way for both your kids and yourself to spend time doing something you both love.”

The content creator also discussed what he considers to be the main struggles fathers face nowadays. “There are a lot of expectations from fathers, and sometimes it can feel like it's not appreciated enough,” he said. “Sometimes it feels like it has become a norm that dads do everything to provide for their family. And I think the main challenge is to find a balance between providing and focusing on yourself. Because, as mentioned earlier, this will be very important to your children as well.”

According to Gitnux, as much as 75% of Americans are planning on celebrating dads on their special day this year. It also revealed that greeting cards account for 63% of Father’s Day gifts, which makes them the most popular choice for a present.
