I am a designer based in San Francisco. Creating logos is something I do for a living as a graphic designer, but lots of times, logos and brands are way too serious.
Because I look at logos all day, I thought, what if logos could stare back at me? I decided to add googly eyes to a bunch of famous logos as a way of having some fun with them. It took me one evening to produce all 36 of these images, but it was worth it since I found it very amusing. Every time I took a new logo, I didn't know what kind of face would look back at me if I added some eyes to it—however, the end result was always a nice discovery.
For example, with eyes, the Nike logo looks like a slug, the HBO logo is screaming, and Pinterest looks like some sort of disgruntled bird. In fact, adding eyes to any object instantly tricks our brain to start looking for a face, which brings these logos to life in a new and goofy way.
For this project in particular, I was inspired by the eye bombing movement where street artists were adding eyes to inanimate objects.
