Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Open the door, let the plates fall and break, buy a new set, re-stock. Simple as that....

Since it's the top shelf, remove the top of the cupboard, there should be only a few screws holding it, and you can put it back later.
Tilting the cupboard may make more plates fall, letting them fall on a cushion only saves the first for sure (the second one will fall on the first etc).

Film yourself opening the cupboard, let them fall down on you, add a cute kitten or a puppy in the background.
Go viral, buy a new set.
You're welcome.

Collect all your sofa's cushion, place them in a group right on bottom of your cupboard door. Open your cupboard door in a fast motion and all plates will landing safely on your cushions.

Put a big bowl of water under the shelf then open it. The plates will fall into the bowl of water and will not break😊

Insert a small balloon under the bowls. With a small tube attached blow the bowls back up into place.

Tape all panes in case they are all part of 1 large piece of glass. Using a suction cup and glass cutter, carefully cut a hole in the pane above and to the right of the situation. Remove the cut glass and wearing a long sleeve shirt, thin, reach through and move the dishes back into the cupboard and safety. Open the door once safe, remove glass and replace it, then stack dishes in shorter stacks closer to the back of the cupboard. Good luck! You can do it!
