Drop whatever you're doing, we have a situation in here! A stay-at-home mother has posted a picture of the 'impossible to open' cupboard and she needs your tips to open it without destroying these precious porcelain plates.
'A cupboard that can never be opened,' - read the caption. Of course, you can never throw words like 'never' online because soon after posting, the army of kind-hearted internauts came pouring in (16,000 reactions and 456 comments) to help this lady with getting her plates to safety.
What would you do in this situation? Post your answers below!
Update: The photo was actually taken after an earthquake in the Tottori Prefecture on October 21st, in a hotel owned by the Kishida family.

Take the glass out of the door next to it and then you can easily take the plates out.

Buy a cheap set of plates and leave the cupboard as it is. You will always have a topic of conversation when drinking with friends.

Leave it, and if and when your daughter gets married, use this as one of the tasks your son in law has to do to pass the test to marry her

If this is a free standing cabinet, slide it away from the wall. The back of the cabinet is a separate piece and should be able to be removed easily. Then reach in and...

Go to Las Vegas and have fun, get a few drinks, get a bit tipsy. Make sure you get around and meet people.
Keep on doing this for a few days, you should by then have met David Copperfield. Make friends with David and invite him over for dinner.
Make sure he is very hungry and let him sort out the mess

Unscrew hinges, cant cabinet toward you slowly easing pressure off the sliding plates. The plates may shift so ensure you are high enough to reach over the now tilted window and push the sliding plates back on to the shelf.( I would suggest getting some help. One person to hold and tilt cabinet and another to secure plates). This should work. Also make sure you heavily pad the entire area beneath the cabinet, this way even if you slip up you may still save the china!

Cut glass in 10 *5 cm size using glass cutter just below the first plate. Cover one hand with hard cloth and support first through the hole and open door with other hand.

Open up a museum of your plates floating in air and save enough money to buy a new set of plates.

It looks like there's another door on the left. Open that left door and catch the falling bowls. Solved 👏

Move the cabinet out just a bit, take off the back of the cabinet, if the cabinet is newer it should just be a thin piece of wood tacked on with finishing nails. You can then access the plates.
