In Ireland the landscape can be so beautiful so I decided that last week when the weather was warm and windy, I would capture images to create a magical fairytale story. The location in Ireland was called Killinthomas Woods, Kildare. I used some smoke bombs from a joke shops and dresses that I personally wore to events throughout the years. The makeup was also something I came across that was posted on a friends Facebook page he is a Makeup artist. I wrote to him to see if he would like to collaborate in creating a mystical and magical feel to the images. My wonderful boyfriend helped out on the day to , making sure the reflector was giving the correct exposure as well as running across the woods with a smoke bomb attached to a stick. We had many ideas incorporated into the shoot like buying some second hand books from a charity store and dipping the pages into coffee, hanging them on the trees and all around her , to give the image's a unique fairytale look. Some of my friends did say the images had a feel of Alice and wonderland throughout the shots , in a way I feel like they are right , I wanted to create a story in the images a journey of some sort. Overall the process did take us 8 hours in creating the makeup look , driving to the location and also taking the images. There was not much editing to be done as the makeup was done perfectly , the exposure on my camera fit so well with the light from the trees. I hope you guys love my images as much as I loved creating them :)
