This lockdown had been hard on everyone, but for parents with young kids, there is another level to it. My lockdown with a 4-year-old was an inspiration for this book—"F***ing Tired Lockdown Mummy". It takes a spin of everyone's favorite The Very Hungry Caterpillar by brilliant artist Eric Carle. We know it, we love it, and now it's time to make a parody out of it (another one).
This work is my first book since graduating as Illustrator, even though it was many years ago. I love drawing and painting, but it was hard for me to find my voice in a picture story form. It was my way of dealing with all the things happening around me and trying to go back to work on something that is mine.
I made the book as a personal project to get over the creative block and finally finish something. It took me a month to do all writing, illustrations, and editing. At first, I only shared it with friends and family, but in few last days it started to go around the world, and it's fantastic!
