Professional and amateur photographers are judged in separate categories. Entries submitted by professionals will be evaluated alongside other professional work, while amateur and student submissions will be assessed within their respective groups.
A professional photographer is defined as someone who earns (or has earned) the majority of their income from photography, regularly sells or publishes their work, or is a member of a recognized professional photography organization.

Digital images should be in sRGB format, saved as high-quality JPGs, and must not exceed 4000 pixels on the longest side or 4 MB per file. The minimum image size is 1000 pixels on the longest side. You may submit as many entries as you like, across as many categories as you wish.
The same photograph can also be entered into multiple categories to increase your chances of winning. An additional fee applies for each extra category selected for a single entry, with a 20% discount on the initial entry fees for professionals, non-professionals, and students. All submitted photographs must have been taken within the last five years.

If you're submitting for the first time, choose images that genuinely reflect your perspective—those that carry meaning or tell a compelling story. Strong entries often have a clear mood or message, and what makes them stand out is not perfection, but authenticity. Focus on what you want the viewer to feel or understand through your photograph, and let that intention guide your selection.
