After watching the classical film 'Singing In The Rain' in the historic movie palace, Castro Theater, the stylish outfits and makeups truly blows my mind!
I was so inspired by the performance and art style in the movie that I immediately started this project once I got home -- illustrate the humorous and enjoyable musical comedy with a collection of cartoony figure drawings.
The soundtrack and theme is from the spoken part of 'Beautiful Girl.' It sounds like a commercial with playful lines and melody showing what an ideal and attractive woman should dress up in the late 20s glamorous Hollywood.
