Doorways. An Homage To Hp Lovecraft.

Doorways is a series of 3d printed dioramas.

These pieces are 10cm tall, 3d printed pieces (very rough, unfinished surfaces as I want people to see the 3d printing process artifacts... for arty farty reasons) with acrylic paints.

Sculpted in 3dsMax,Blender and Sculptris. Printed on a Printrbot Simple Metal in PLA.

The whole project is an homage to the universe created by H. P. Lovecraft... the idea that monsters often hide barely beneath the surface. These pieces show the moment that the monsters break through into our world, the moment that we choose to fight or flee.
