I can spot a cool dog from miles. When that happens, I must go and introduce myself, see if we click, and then try to capture something of his or her special character with a photo portrait. I then bid them farewell with hope to meet again somewhere, someday.
For me it's an everyday miracle to see us and them getting along together - totally different organisms, having a meaningful, complex intimate relationship.
