What do you get when you mix intense pain, exhaustion, adrenaline and a room full of people yelling "push!"? Potentially, an atmosphere where almost anything can happen - and sometimes, even some top class entertainment.
Giving birth has the ability to strip away every layer of politeness, pretense and sanity. It's raw, it's emotional and often, in hindsight, it can be quite hilarious. From moms screaming for a divorce, to dads passing out, the flies on the maternity ward walls have seen it all. Messy chaos that culminates in the beautiful moment new life enters this world.
Someone asked, "OB/GYN doctors/midwives what is the craziest thing that a woman has said during labor?" and people didn't hold back.
Bored Panda has out together a list of the most unfiltered answers for you to scroll through as you marvel at the miracle of birth. Many prove that labor isn't just a medical event, it's a full-blown unscripted performace.

Not an OB/GYN, but when my mom was in labor with me, she tried to call the fire department and the police.

While the doctor was trying to help get a baby out of the birth canal the baby jumped causing discomfort....the lady screamed...."YOU SHOULD HAVE BEEN A PLUMBER".

My wife went into labor 7 weeks early. At the hospital, after a few hours, she began the actual delivery. Everyone is in position and my wife begins to push. Apparently her water had never broken and as she started pushing a blast of liquid exploded from her all over the OB/GYN and nurses. The room got immediately silent and my wife calmly said " That's gross!" The doctor wiped her face off, looked down, and said it was ok, she didn't get any on her cell phone she had on her hip...

I remember when I was induced with my son, they gave me an Ambien to get some rest before the real pushing started the next morning. I was the first (and last) time I'd ever taken a sleep aid. I woke up at two in the morning and my water broke. I was in such a state of grogginess I announced to the nurse and my husband "I just pooped myself." My husbands face was priceless.

Not a nurse but while I was in labor with my son hey gave me the epidural and it did not do ANYTHING they ended up having to give me like 3 times the normal amount to get me ready to give birth but while i was under i distinctly remember my SO turning a sickening shade of pink which is odd given he is a black man. Another thing was that i swear Neil Patrick Harris helped me give birth not like he was the doctor but like he was pushing the baby out with me. It was very strange. My SO said i kept talking to the lamp beside me...

My older brother was a C-section, and I was my mom's first normal (vaginal) birth. She was really hopped up on meds (the ones the doctor gave her). From what I've been told by my dad, she insisted we paint the front porch, and then I popped out.

Husband, not medical team.
The anesthesiologist for the epidural came in towards the end after we requested him since my wife had been in back labor for 24 hours at that point, and we were giving up on natural birth. She was having contractions a few minutes apart at that point, and they were bad from what I could tell, and she wanted us to be quiet when she was having contractions because it helped her ignore the pain for there to be silence because she was over stimulated. The anesthesiologist would Not Stop Talking while she was having contractions. He ended up continually being a jerk and ignoring her, and trying to push her to sign the form.
Eventually she growled at him, literally, followed by "I don't need you, Get Out!" Apparently for the rest of the labor which ended about 2 hours after when I thought she was growling it was "I don't need you" and he motivated her to get through with the rest of non pain killer labor.

After reading a few of these, I think my situation can fall into weird.
I was a teenager and my sister was having her first baby, I stood at her head as emotional support and while she was pushing, I was eating a bag of M&Ms through the whole delivery. In between of popping an M&M and saying, "good job sis, you got this!"...pop an M&M...words of support...M&M....ya'll get the picture.
My sister's have not let me live down the infamous bag of M&Ms till this day.

I work in the health care field and am all too aware of medical errors. So, after my general anesthetic from an emergency c-section - I accused the OB and nurse staff of leaving medical instruments inside me. I don't remember because of the medication but everyone was teasing me about it when I woke up.

Not an ob/gyn, but when my mum was giving birth to me she became delirious. After trying to console her dog (pro tip, she wasn't there), she was asked I'd she wanted anything to drink. My mum replied, "A chocplate milkshake .. only crunchy!", then slapped my grandmother.
When I was finally born, the doctor told her, "Look up! Look up Meg!"
She told him to go the hell off, couldn't he see she was busy pushing here?
Yeah, she learned not to take that type of painkiller again. Can't remember what chemical it was but she was loopy the whole way through.

My wife is an Anesthesiologist and she told me about a teenager that wanted an epidural and then decided against it after it was already placed, she screamed and made a scene to have it removed for some reason. The wife did after she explained to the young girl all the fancy doctor stuff that goes along with it. Well when the contractions were getting a little more intense the same teenager starting screaming that she wanted it back in. Meanwhile she had her mother and grandmother in the room trying to calm her down to listen to my wife. Then the girl lashes out at her family and says "you don't know how this feels and you don't know what I'm going through." At this point the grandmother very calmly but serious in tone said to the OB if it was possible to go ahead and fix this stituation permanently. The young girl is a mom now......
TL:dr fellas stay away from the crazy girls, they might be fun but not worth the drama.

My doctor gave me the best epidural ever (did it herself - said she doesn't trust the anesthesiologists at that hospital to do it right). I didn't feel a lot of pain, just pressure.
My husband thought I made the funniest noises ever. He mimicks them ("hyeeeeeeeeennnhhhh") any time he has to push anything now.

The nurse that was helping my wife told my wife not to cry because it was not helping her push during active labor.
It did not help anything.

My wife begged me to suffocate her with a pillow repeatedly. Then she got her epidural and was fine. Hilarious before that though.
