Ben Uyeda (creator of HomeMade Modern) documented the process of making a spiral staircase so you could do it yourself. Well, at least he hopes so, because he made the project details (including CAD files) available online for free! The project requires a steel post, some plywood, a CNC router, wood, and contruction glue. It also requires patience, because each step takes about two hours to put together.
