Since 2008 I draw thangkas, buddhist scroll paintings. The earliest examples of these paintings date back to the 11th century. The art is highly formalized through grids and colour schemes, but there is still a lot of room for artistic freedom and expression.
My thangka paintings come with a twist: they are done entirely digital.
These images are a sample of my work. Currently I am working on a huge and highly detailed Mandala of the Medicine Buddha including 53 additional images.
To help me gather a sustainable income, so I can keep drawing and offer these thangkas for free to the global community, you can become my patron on https://www.patreon.com/digitalthangka.
