Historic monuments placed in various places across the world in ways that almost feel surreal and magical are definitely a sight to behold. The talented members of Designcrowd (a website dedicated to digital art/photo manipulation contests) decided to participate in a photoshop contest where the main challenge was to place historic monuments in unusual places across the planet.
However, of course, it's definitely not the first time Bored Panda has featured Design Crowd's competitions. If you are as curious as we are, you can go ahead and do your very best checking out their other themed contests such as photoshopped classical paintings, clouds, and even animals as plants. Of course, there are way more themed contests but we linked only the most recent ones for now!
With all of that being said, we also think it's important to see the emotional power of architecture. One only needs to look at some of the world’s famous monuments and memorials to be mesmerized. Therefore, designing these structures is often a challenging proposition. Architects must balance meaning and aesthetics, all while keeping the person or people being memorialized at the center of the design, but can the same be said for the very designers of Design Crowd?
It's up to you to decide, Pandas! Choose your favorite works amongst them all and see if they are worthy to be compared to the original and iconic pieces of art (and their place). We believe that historical monuments are important destinations for locals and travelers alike, but would you prefer to see these monuments in other parts of the world?
